European Commissioner Michael McGrath visits the European Consumer Centre Luxembourg

The European Consumer Centre (ECC) Luxembourg had the pleasure of welcoming European Commissioner Michael McGrath to its offices on 4 June 2026.

The visit provided an opportunity to present ECC Luxembourg’s main achievements in 2025, as well as its first activity figures for 2026. Discussions also focused on the Centre’s essential role in informing, advising and assisting consumers facing cross-border issues within the European Single Market.

The meeting highlighted the results achieved by ECC Luxembourg in recent years, as well as the contribution of the European Consumer Centres Network to strengthening consumer protection across Europe.

The discussions also underscored the importance of the support provided by the European Commission, the Luxembourg State and the Union Luxembourgeoise des Consommateurs (ULC), whose partnership enables the Centre to continue its mission in the service of consumers.

In a context where cross-border purchases of goods and services play an important role in the daily lives of Luxembourg residents, ECC Luxembourg plays a key role in facilitating access to information and the amicable resolution of disputes within the Single Market.

ECC Luxembourg warmly thanks Commissioner Michael McGrath for his visit, his interest in the Centre’s activities and the constructive exchanges that took place on this occasion.
