The rules clarify the obligations of manufacturers with regard to the repair of goods and encourage consumers to extend the life cycle of products through repair.<br \/>\nThe directive gives consumers the right to demand the repair of products that are technically repairable according to a list of predefined products (e.g. washing machines or mobile phones).<\/p>\n<p>Manufacturers will have to repair products at a reasonable price and within a reasonable time after the legal warranty period.<\/p>\n<p>Manufacturers are obliged to inform consumers about the products they are legally obliged to repair.
