{"id":7118,"date":"2023-04-28T11:06:52","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T09:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cecluxembourg.addedsense.eu\/?p=7118"},"modified":"2023-04-28T11:06:52","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T09:06:52","slug":"door-to-door-selling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cecluxembourg.lu\/en\/news\/door-to-door-selling\/","title":{"rendered":"Door to door selling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A professional sales representative can visit the home of a consumer and offer goods or services that have not been sollicited by the consumer.<\/p>\n<p>In the event of a doorstep sale (also hawking\/peddling), the consumer is granted certain rights which protect them from abuse, namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the right to refuse every type of door to door selling at their home;<\/li>\n<li>if the consumer accepts door to door selling, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cecluxembourg.lu\/en\/help-with\/shopping\/the-right-of-withdrawal\/\">they are granted a right of withdrawal of 14 days.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, the consumer can display their refusal of doorstep selling in their home by placing a sticker or any other distinctive sign:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>on their front door or next to it; or<\/li>\n<li>at the entrance to their apartment; or<\/li>\n<li>at the main entrance to the apartment building, e.g. on the doorbell or postbox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The consumer can choose type and wording of the refusal. The refusal must be clearly stated, e.g.: &#8220;Colportage Nee merci&#8221;, &#8220;Pas de colportage&#8221;, &#8220;Non au porte \u00e0 porte&#8221;, &#8220;Colporteurs et d\u00e9marcheurs interdits d\u2019acc\u00e8s&#8221;, &#8220;Keine Haust\u00fcrgesch\u00e4fte&#8221;, etc. (Doorsteep selling &#8211; no thank you&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>We can also send you a free sticker directly to your home.
