Your journey does not always go swimmingly: The flight is delayed, the luggage is lost ... what can you do and what are your rights?

In the event of denied boarding, cancellation or flight delays, your rights are defined by European Regulation (EC) No 261/2004. The Warsaw and Montreal Convention govern your rights in the event of any delay, loss or destruction of your luggage.

The European Consumer Centre in Luxembourg has edited two information sheets on "Passenger Rights / Fluggastrechte"(in German) and "Loss of Luggage / Incidents relatifs aux bagages" (in French), which you can download on the right.
